The reminiscence session which was run at the Memory Café in June was a great success. The objects, books and other materials from the 40s, 50s and 60s brought back lots of interesting memories and create plenty of discussion. At the additional Memory Café meeting we all enjoyed cream teas – this meeting was put on due to the funding from the Devon Community Fund. There will also be extra days in July (25th) and August (22nd).
On 8th August we have the duet ‘Desert Rose’ coming back to entertain us, as will David Clinch in September.
The number of people who attend the Café has increased over the last few months but there is still plenty of room for new members so if you or someone you support has a memory problem, do come along and meet others who have similar issues. We have a dedicated team of volunteers as well as NHS professionals to offer help and advice. For further information please contact Pauline on 01805 625969
