The Memory Café during 2013 will continue to be held on the second Thursday of each month, the dates for 2013 are on leaflets now available at various venues in the town including the Tourist Information Centre. The Cafés are held in the Gallery of the Plough Arts Centre, and there is a lift which will take a wheelchair. Please note the slight change in times to 10.30am to 12.30pm.
We provide a friendly and informal café for people with memory problems and their families and carers, with access to Health and Social Care staff and information on the services and support that are available. This is a social occasion as well as information sharing and gives everyone the opportunity to talk to others about issues related to memory loss. Tea and cakes are provided as well as some activities which include music and reminiscence. December’s café was a huge success with carol singing from the Carillon Singers.
Do come along and enjoy the company of others in a friendly and supportive environment. For information contact the Co-ordinator, Pauline Page, on 01805 625969 or Brian Coleshill on 01805 938277 and do look at the excellent new website at www.greattorringtonmemorycafe.org.uk
