Due to the closure of the Globe and the lack of disabled access at the Plough, the memory café has now relocated to the Torrington Arms, New Street.
In July the café had a very successful outing to Merry Harriers for lunch. In August we had a very informative talk from Torridge Community Transport, which is a charity providing a service for people who do not have access to transport.
If you would like to come to the memory café but do not have transport, then telephone 01237 425522 and you will be able to book a car and a driver. If you would like to be a volunteer driver for the memory café then please contact me.
In August, David Clinch entertained us with his own style of music — David has been a regular supporter of the memory café.
At our September meeting Kathy Ellis sang songs which brought back memories and gave us all the opportunity to sing along.
The entertainment for the October meeting is 'Dogleg' — a duet who have kindly offered their services to bring along their own brand of music.
